The Texas Liver Institute (TLI) is thrilled to announce the opening of our Austin clinic.  Transplant Hepatologists, Dr. Jennifer Wells and Dr. Carmen Landaverde have expertise in the full spectrum of liver disease and vast experience caring for complex patients.

Texas Liver Institute specializes in the management of patients with viral hepatitis, autoimmune and fatty liver disease as well as those diagnosed with cirrhosis and liver cancer.  In addition to general hepatology, those patients in need of more advanced care will undergo pre and post-transplant assessment.  These assessments will be done within our Austin facility and coordinated with the University Transplant Center in San Antonio. Our facility is equipped with advanced technology that includes elastography, which is a non-invasive method of measuring liver stiffness. Our goal is to provide excellence in care while minimizing the inconveniences of travel.

The Austin location will also be conducting outpatient research trials that offer cutting edge therapeutic opportunities to patients, prior to their availability to the public. The Texas Liver Institute has been instrumental in field of viral hepatitis, leading to international recognition. TLI is often in the press for its unique and ground-breaking contributions in the field of liver disease.

Teaching and education are prime missions of the Texas Liver Institute, and faculty members hold professorships at the University of Texas Health Science Center as well as the University of Texas Dell Medical School.

The Texas Liver Institute is excited to partner with the Austin community to add expertise and opportunity in this exciting area of medicine.  The clinic will have fluent Spanish speaking staff and accepts most insurance providers.
