The Texas Liver Institute is one of the largest freestanding clinical research facilities in the world and the largest in the United States. All phases of clinical research are conducted at the Texas Liver Institute, including inpatient and outpatient.
The ultra-modern 24 bed, inpatient, Phase 1 unit is equipped with private rooms, individual cable televisions, adjustable beds, individual shower units, kitchen and dining area with catered meals, games and movie area for recreation and entertainment.

TLI performs outpatient research trials that offer cutting edge, future therapies to patients. The state of the art outpatient unit has all services, including laboratory, ultrasound, Fibroscan, ECG, IV infusion, spirometry, biopsy rooms and examination rooms under one roof. Services are provided by highly skilled personnel and health care providers, which are available 24 hours a day.
